Mother’s Prayer
Dear Lord, today we pray for mothers--
our own mothers, and mothers everywhere,
who have made such a major contribution to the good qualities we have,
sometimes through genetics, more often through great effort and patient instruction,
and who have done their best to gently polish away our rough edges.
Lord, please bless our mothers for the endless hours of time they spent and the boundless energy they invested in us.
Bless our mothers for their sacrifices on our behalf as they often gave up or deferred their own dreams
so that we could have ours.
Bless our mothers for always being there for us, for being the person we know we can turn to
when we need comfort, encouragement, or just a hug.
Bless our mothers for making a home for us where we could feel safe, where we felt we belonged.
Most of all, Lord, bless our mothers for their unconditional love, for loving us no matter what,
and for frequently showing love in ways that make us feel valued and cherished.
Lord, please bless our mothers mightily.
Strengthen them, soothe them, wrap them in Your infinite love and shower them with blessings too numerous to count,
too magnificent to describe.
We love them, admire them, respect them, and we wish that You would give them back many times the good they gave to us.
In Jesus' name we pray; Amen.

Both of our Scout Troops have been busy, and their scouting year is winding down!
The Junior Troop visited COSI in Columbus recently to see and participate in the “grossology” exhibit.
And if you want to know just how gross “grossology” is, ask them about the snot they made!!! J
They had a great day!
The Daisies have been working hard on their post card project.
Both groups willjoin together for their end-of-year family picnic here a the church on June 2nd.
CONGRATS on another successful year to the scouts and their leaders!!
United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women have not slowed down one bit since the completion of Easter Eggs!!
They are still hopping here and there!
As a group, we attended the annual fundraising banquet for CareNet Pregnancy Center of Knox County.
The meal was yummy and the speaker, Scott Klusendorf, was very entertaining and inspiring.
The evening benefitted CareNet over $77,560.00!!
At our last UMW meeting, we baked the last 40 dozen cookies for Pastor Bob’s Kairos prison week-end,
dedicated the new angels in the Prayer Garden in memory of Betty Mills,
commited $1,000 of our Easter Egg profits to the church towards the annual insurance premium,
and another $100 of profits to Carenet.
Bonnie reported on the Spring UMW District meeting, Joan shared from our Prayer Calendar.
